Teddy bears

There are different kinds of teddy bears that people like to collect for different reasons. Some of these teddy bears include:

• Steiff Teddy bears – Steiff Teddy Bears is the oldest teddy bear company still in business. It is also one of the most expensive. The interesting thing about these bears is that they have not changed a lot from the first models that were created decades ago. They have been able to stand the test of time.

• Gund Teddy Bears – Gund Teddy Bears have also been around for as long time. This company got its start in 1857. Almost all serious collectors have at least one of these bears in their collections.

• Build-a-Bear – These teddy bears are much more modern, but they have become some of the most popular as well. The Build-a-Bear stores allow children to come to the store, choose a bear, stuff it, choose clothing and even install sound devices. The fact that children have an opportunity to assist in the creation of these bears endears the bears to the children even more.

• Department store bears – There was a time when many of the large department stores would produce their own teddy bears during the holiday season. Large stores like Macy’s and smaller local stores would all have teddy bears available for purchase.

These bears have one thing in common – they all are beloved by people of young and old ages across the world.
